CAIA NYC Conference. On June 20th, Javier Lumbreras talks about art as an alternative investment.
On June 20th 2012, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) NYC Chapter will present a panel discussion on investment alternatives sponsored by BNP Paribas. In representation of Artemundi Global Fund, CEO Javier Lumbreras has been invited to talk about art as an alternative investment.
In the last couple of years, there has been a generalized interest in the financial community regarding alternative financial instruments. This has propelled the establishment of funds and investment alternatives based on real and tangible assets such as art.
This particular event is a two-hour discussion developing around alternative investment strategies like art, wine and diamonds. The objective is to provide the audience with a different perspective on these kinds of assets by comparing and contrasting the evolution of financial instruments based on these alternative assets.
The panel will be integrated by three experts on the matter: Claudio Ghisu on behave of Diamond Asset Fund, Timothy Clew representing The Wine Trust and of course Javier Lumbreras as the art expert. The audience will mostly be members of CAIA such as institutional investors, money managers (PE/HFs) and other financial service providers.
The event will take place in New York City at Club101, located at 101 Park Avenue at 40th Street, from 6 to 8 pm.
